Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Creative freedom
  • Individuality
  • Memorable
Cons
  • Lack of organisation between group member
  • Initial spending
  • Time consuming
Aswell as finding one undone's journey very inspirational and enoyable so far... it has also been a difficult process due to lack of organisation beween group members.  This lack of co-ordination and organisation has therefore effected our productivity and success of final product in that we have not produced our best possible designs or explored them in the desired depth that we had wished we would.

As for the future who knows whats in store for one undone and our designing process although as for now when art bazaar is over we already have a potential buyer for our t-shirt products who have viewed our designs and are keen to purchase any remaining items.

Theme of OneUndone

Our group had started off to a slow start having troubles with what we wanted to create, as well as the theme behind it and a group name. We also came across that we had ideas of our own and trying to put everything together into one theme was a struggle, but with time we decided on the name OneUndone, different, catchy and original.

OneUndone has a theme that is based around the English terminology 'Juxtaposition'
On this website http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/juxtaposition Juxtaposition was explained as an act or instance of placing two or more things close together or side by side, for comparison or contrast.

Examples:

Photography Juxtaposition

We are trying to achieve image with style, by combining two or more contrasting or different images being placed together or side by side to create one, producing a OneUndone Image.¬¬¬¬

Also with the Idea of Juxtaposition and putting two or more things together to make one, the idea of screen printing onto canvas boards, not just one, but maybe 2 or 3 to create an ongoing feel and a continued idea of putting pieces together to make a whole.

Products:
Shirts
Canvas Boards
Eco Friendly bags

TEAMWORK

One Undone is a co-operative.
One Undone is a collection of individual minds working towards designing for individuals.
One Unone is not a corporation.
One Undone is not a dictatorship.

All Patrtners in One Undone have total control over where and when they design.
All Patrtners in One Undone are encouraged to experiment.
All Patrtners in One Undone beleive that only strong design will survive.

All designs and subsequent manufacture will be funded by the original designer.
This encourages us to work as hard as we want.

One Undone Teamwork was probably not as competent as others, attendence being a slight downfall. However with the creative minds our group has, and design ideas we make, our team is able to work well.

In the end One Undone thrives on freedom and individualality.

One Undone : for you but not made for you.

I used a felt tip pen, like usual, and made some lips with what was originally supposed to be filled with feathers, but ended up looking more like leaves...which wasn't a huge deal.

I liked how it turned out and made some glasses to accompany them.

then scanned them onto the computer and put them together..

and yeh, probably look better if the lips were cut out and just the glasses, if I was to use it on a t-shirt print.

Marketing

Our team plans on marketing the printed t-shirts on clothes hangers like they would be on a normal rack inside a clothes store, as well as our team representing the shirts to help attract customers. The canvas’ will be hung up round the stall on display for people to see, and any other items that may be created will most likely be displayed on a table.

Epiphany no:4568 continued

ok, now i've decided i am going to run 3-4 designs in limited numbers of 10.
Each design will be hand painted on the front (of a t-shirt or singlet) and a screenprinted ONE UNDONE logo will be featured on the back (just under the neck line) along with the words LIMITED EDITION 1/10, 2/10, 3/10 ect ect.

My initially thoughts will be of a grungy dripped paint look to the lettering which will be achieved by mutiple coats of diluted fabric paint applied to a vertically hung shirt.

sorry kids, no more clues

Epiphany no:4568

The term is used in either a philosophical or literal sense to signify that the claimant (me) has "found the last piece of the puzzle and now sees the whole picture,"
I was never completely sold on the idea of making standard screenprints and expecting people pay loads of $$ for them.
I know that i'm not an illustrator and i am not a fashion designer.
I am an artist
then it hit me..... why don't i make limited edition, one of a kind, hand painted t's, stating exactly what i am feeling.

idea generation

^ the above works are done by a clothing label called "afends" that incorporated octopus tentacles, I thought this was pretty interesting and inspired me to do a couple of illustrations myself incorporating this type of style.

I used a blue felt tip pen cause i generally like the way it looks on paper and how it transfers onto the computer. The font was put onto the illustrations once scanned onto the computer. I actually did the cross first cause I like drawing them, but then did the 1 which is a little more ironic. Contemplating possibly using these illustrations as a possible image for a swing tag..or my computer illustration below.

Brandon Boyd..

Is the lead singer of incubus, I first saw his works when Georgia Gunthrey showed his works in a case study at the start of the year.

basically he is also a very talented artist and inspired me to create a series of 3 works, once again using felt tip pen, to hopefully used for screen printing onto canvas and t-shirts.

I incorporated a mask, anchor and dove with his style of work in them. Why I chose those three things to use I don't really know.

The mask was originally a face but I changed it cause it looked better in my opinion. The closed eye and tears show a sense of emotion which a mask doesn't really have, so that makes it interesting in a way.

I used the anchor because it seems increasingly popular within today's society whether it be in tattoo's, t-shirt designs or art in general, they are interesting to draw and look appealing.

I incorporated the dove carrying a small barbed branch, because it represents peace and most people are able to recognize that and thought it would work well in general cause birds are a cool part of nature.

this is scotts idea of a mission statement

(and he doesn't particularly care what Brodie says)
One Undone is a co-opperative collective.
Not a corporation

in the beginning..

names were tossed up, ego's were damaged, friendship was put a side(for the most), opinions were heard and one undone was the result...no right or wrong way, mixing it up an expected norm, fitting considered taboo, and making sense not especially necessary. Anything and everything goes and opinions not fully taken into account on most levels.

if you don't get it great, if you do get it great, if you like it great, if you buy it GREAT.

one undone.. for you but not made for you.
